Gigi and Bella Hadid Team Up for Moschino Spring Summer 2017 Fashion Campaign
Gigi and Bella Hadid are double the supermodel as they star in Moschino’s Spring Summer 2017 campaign. Like most famous siblings, there’s long been competition between models sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid. Older sibling, Gigi’s career, seemed to skyrocket rapidly and many wondered if Bella would ever catch up. For reference, Gigi already has 14 Vogue covers and counting. However, the younger Hadid proved that she could be a top model too with an absolutely dominating year of successes. Bella nabbed 28 magazine covers and eight fashion campaigns in 2016, alone. Arguably, it appears that Gigi and Bella Hadid have officially joined each other in the ranks as supermodel sisters.
The Moschino campaign, lensed by Steven Meisel, is surreal and cinematic. Ambient filtered light illuminates the images as the animated richness of the Moschino SS17 collection takes center stage. With the usual Jeremy Scott bravado, the campaign invites us into an exaggerated reality, this time the focus is fame, media, and paparazzi. Ironically, the sisters didn’t have to work too hard getting into character, Gigi has 28 million Instagram followers to Bella’s 9.5 million Instagram following. This isn’t the model’s first time in the Moschino SS/17 collection. Both sisters also appeared on the runway for the brand’s Milan Fashion Week showing.
