Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals Collection, Round 2
Between a FW/17 New York Fashion Week showing and Instagram fights with Philipp Plein, bad boy Alexander Wang was busy. However, he still found time to finalize his latest fashion collaboration, Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang. Picking up where they left off last Season, Alexander Wang and Adidas reveal a streetwear focused sportswear and shoe drop just in time for Spring.
To preview the collection, iconic photographer Juergen Teller offers a gritty look book shot in NYC. Unlike Wang’s Fall 2017 collection (which is all black), his Adidas line offers a bit more color. Though not much. The minimal feeling lineup includes an assortment of unisex tracksuits, gym shorts, and crop tops in either red, blue, or white. Each piece is adorned with the classic Adidas trefoil logo and classic three stripe detailing.
However, it’s not the Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang clothing that’s drawing attention. Wang tries his hand in the footwear game with the release of two Alexander Wang Adidas shoes. The “Run” and “Run Clean” officially make a debut joining the likes of collabs like Adidas Yeezy and Pharrell William’s Nu HMD.
Available beginning March 1, the Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang drop is on the radar of streetwear enthusiasts and high-fashion followers worldwide. For its initial release, the full lineup is only available at seven retailers. Barneys (New York), Antonioli (Milan), colette (Paris), Storm (Copenhagen), Dover Street Market (Ginza), Boon the Shop (Seoul), and Joyce (Hong Kong).
